Silver Jubilee — 25 years of consecrated life

Sister Sharlet Ann Wagner, who currently serves as first councilor of the Sisters of the Holy Cross General Leadership Team, Notre Dame, Ind., will be honored on July 17, 2016, during a jubilee celebration in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at Mary’s, Notre Dame, Indiana, for her 25 years of consecrated life as a Sister of the Holy Cross.

She taught secondary education in Utah and worked in healthcare in Uganda during her early ministry. As an immigration attorney, Sister Sharlet Ann has served eight years of ministry in her field. She served at Central American Resource Center in Los Angeles, Calif., and at Holy Cross Ministries in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she later worked as Immigration Department director. She also served for five years as the General Leadership Team’s general secretary.

Sister Sharlet Ann was born in Omaha, Nebreska. She earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas, in Austin, Texas, and her law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, California. Sister Sharlet Ann made her initial profession of vows on July 18, 1991, and her perpetual profession on July 20, 1996.
